good vs bad??

Hmmm. Is there such a thing as good girl/boy gone bad ?

Or make it otherwise.

Is there such thing as a bad girl/boy gone good?

When I was in class just now (It was English Professional class at 2pm!), I began to wonder.

What actually defines one's characteristics, that is in this case, good or bad ?

Can someone be judged just based on what he likes to do ?

Can someone be considered as bad if he likes skipping classes ?

Based on what the dictionary can covers,

Good is basically defines as morally right,well behaved, have a positive effect,kind,helpful and etc.

Bad on the other hand is mentioned to carry a definition of not good,unpleasant,poor quality,likely to cause negative effects and etc.

So, based on those definitions... Can we judge a person being good or bad?
I am not trying to sound like a prefectionist who doesn't judge others or etc... But, the question just popped out of my head all of a sudden.

Let's see.

What if we have a very hardworking girl, who is very helpful with people around here and etc. She does all the good things. But she had once stolen a candy from a shop.

Can she be considered as a bad girl for that once mistake? Or is she plainly considered as a good girl? Hmmm. Undecided.

What if there is a guy who is very kind and light hearted and generous and all those things. But, he has this drinking habit that is hard to go. Is he a bad guy ? Or is he a good guy ? If u ask me, I'd say...Undecided.

After giving a 10 mintues thought about it, while listening to my MP4 on the bus while riding back to my college, I had come to this one conclusion that I thought was enough to satisfy my own curiousity and complexity . (huh ? Complexity? ) Anyhow. I think there is no such thing as the all good or all bad person in the world. I think. Because, we are being judged in this world based on what we do. And no one can run away from making mistakes or travelling the wrong way in our lives. I am not such a good person myself. People do think I am, (perasan kejap...) , but maybe there is a part of my life which doesn't qualify me to be considered as a good person at all. So... Maybe and just MAYBE... we are all good and bad persons. Who can run away from making mistakes? And do not judge a person just based on one mistake that he has done. Take a look at his good sides as well.

I still remember the test that my teacher gave us when I was in Form One. She asked us to take put a piece of paper and make a dot using a pen anyway on that paper. Then she asked us all what did we see on that piece of paper. And all of us answered, a DOT. She calmly said , "The dot represents the bad part of a person. And all we usually see is the dot,the mistake done. But none of us usually do remember the rest of the clean white paper,which represents the good part of a person. So,next time when a person does something wrong, remember to take his or her good sides for consideration as well" Simple test that everyone knows. But that simple test is what everyone takes for granted easily.
